this has got to be one of the best looking restorations on an RM. Stuart has doen such a good job

I think you'll find that this fine car is a 12 not a 10. The tens had four side windows not six. I thibk it says "Six" on the radiator badge which would make it a 12/6.

Hi sorry to tell you that this is not a 1929 model. American cars of the late 1920s were much more square than this. I guess 1936 for this car.

Regarding P266 (20B at Ardlea Road in the late 1960s) the location of the terminii for the 20B and 51A routes at that time was in Coolatree Road (as shown in the photograph). The 20B terminus was moved to Ardlea Road ARTANE in the early 1980s when a through road was created along Skelly's Lane (previously a country track) to faciliate recent housing development on lands on either side. The destination "Beaumont" is still displayed on 20B workings though this is at some remove from the current terminus.

looking at the old buses brings back good memorys and it's great that somebody deciced to post it on the web ireland might be changing and we have to get with the times but we can hold on to a little of it in our minds that can't be changed.

Hi, not a 1959 model I'm afraid. Oval window VWs were made between 1953 and 1957.

Good to see RM406 with its original full-size heating air intake and cream relief band.
