R541 – R546 were very stylishly finished double deck coaches, new in 1953 for the express service to Dublin Airport. They had a centre entrance and staircase, seating for 50 and a large walk in luggage compartment behind the back axle. After 11 years on the airport service, they were converted to half cab rear platform buses and replaced by Leyland Royal Tigers. R545 was seen in Cathal Brugha Street, Dublin in the mid 1950s.
